The four SoCal chapters of RWA are putting on their first conference next month in Santa Ana, with the theme California Dreamin’. I’m thrilled to be attending. It will be my first writer’s conference and I know it is going to be an amazing learning experience. Also, I’m so excited that Julia Quinn will be there as a keynote speaker. Her book, An Offer From a Gentleman (one of the outstanding Bridgerton series) was one of the first “modern” historical romances I read, and I immediately fell in love with the genre, the Bridgertons and Julia Quinn. I reread that one every couple of years and am always transported back about fifteen years when I was just discovering romance novels.
