Summer is here and I’ve got a to-read stack that’s just bursting with fun books. Actually, those “beach reads” that magazines like to tout this time of year are pretty much what I like to read all year long. Give me a good mystery, thriller, or romance, with a  satisfying (if not happy) ending, and I’m a happy woman. Here are a few I’m looking forward to this summer.

dark summer dreams

Dark Summer Dreams by Danube Adele. This is the sequel to Quicksilver Dreams, which I absolutely loved. The first in the series was action packed, romantic, very hot, and built an  interesting world, so I’m looking forward to revisiting all of that in this outing.

Terminal City by Linda Fairstein. The latest Alex Cooper/Mike Chapman mystery set in New York City delves into Grand Central Station. Fairstein always teaches a fascinating history lesson about a part of New York along with her intriguing mysteries. Plus, Alex and Mike have finally gotten together after fifteen books, so I’m looking forward to finding out where they go from here.

Any Duchess Will Do by Tessa Dare. This is the only Spindle Cove novel I haven’t read (I think) and I’ve loved every single one, so this one is sure to please. Spindle Cove is full of unusual pairings, and a Duke and a shopkeeper are unusual indeed.

What’s on your summer reading list?
